I just finished a commissioned piece that incorporates white forsythia and the native blue orchard mason bee. My inspirations were from photos I took last spring and an illustration I did a few years ago. It’s so fun to be able to use all my creative outlets and merge them together to make something entirely different.
Here’s the necklace that resulted…

Loved seeing your photo and art, then the necklace. Makes me long for true spring ( the kind that forces the forsythia open after weeks of cold and snow).
Thanks, Barbara! Spring is certainly most appreciated after a true winter…I miss having some snow.

I love the bee and the neckless !!! I didn’t know white forsythia excisted !!!
Thanks, Gwennie! I’m not sure how common white forsythia is, but I took my pictures at the Morton Arboretum. The bush was just beautiful against the blue sky.
