Black-eyed Susans (Rudbeckia hirta) are in full bloom in my garden and have been so for a while.  Their longevity inspired me to try and paint them (from life) and use them in my annual calendar.  I also noticed a small blue butterfly feeding on them, looked it up and as far as I can tell it was a Summer Azure (Celastrina neglecta), a close relative of the Spring Azure.  They rarely sit still for very long so I feel fortunate to have had my camera at hand and ready.
