I had the opportunity to sketch with a friend at the Schingoethe Center for Native American Cultures at Dunham Hall, Aurora University.  It’s a wonderful little museum featuring artifacts and art from native American tribes all over North, Central and South America.  I enjoyed the combination of archeological, pre-historical artifacts with contemporary art and particularly appreciated the connection the artists had with nature.  I drew a small portion of a larger collection of owl figurines and pots…a very enjoyable time!
