There was a new visitor to my fall garden the last few weeks, a white lined sphinx moth (Hyles lineata).  This delightful moth resembles a hummingbird in size as well as feeding style as it hovers and sips from various flowers.  It came several different times to my garden and was quite cooperative for my last photo shoot.  It was amazing to me how much their wings bend.  I used my Canon 10D and had the shutter speed up near 1/2000 in hopes of freezing the wing motion.  Enjoy!
