This past week I was fortunate enough to spend 9 days in Colorado, spending the first few days with relatives near Colorado Springs and the majority of the week in Boulder at the 2014 GNSI Conference.  There were so many things to see and do that one blog post could not cover it all, so there will be a series of them as I comb through the best of my pictures, sketches and memories.

My trip started off with a visit to the Denver Botanic Garden (straight from the airport!) to see the Chihuly glass exhibit.  I’ve always loved how his glass sculptures mimic nature and how he uses repeating patterns and textures to make a larger sculpture.  The glass blended perfectly with the gardens and both were a delight to see.  I was filled to the brim with inspiration!  If you have a chance to see this exhibit, it’s open until November 30, 2014.  Enjoy!
