There were 14 miles of trails to choose from which was a bit overwhelming, so we started out with the short Habitat Haven trail, branched off onto Cooper’s Overlook, wandered through Raptor’s Ridge and ventured a little ways into the prairie. I will admit to being amazed at the variety of terrain we covered since everything looks flat from the parking lot. I can imagine how beautiful the trees must look in the fall, all decked out in their colorful foliage! During this season though, I soaked in the peaceful walk through the woods, the flitting butterflies in the prairie and the fun of exploring a new place. Since I had so many photos, I decided to divide them up into two posts. Enjoy!
