The Nature Artists’ Guild recently had a fun group activity where a group of us sat at a table with a still life, painted for ten minutes, then switched seats and painted from the next person’s perspective and with their palette of paint and so on until we’d painted on each piece at the table. My group had four people while most other tables had five, so we had two chances to paint on our own pieces during the evening. It was challenging and fun to try to match the style started by the previous artist and yet leave your own mark as well. There was a lot of laughter and the results turned out remarkably well considering we actually painted for only 50 minutes. Once all the pieces were put together, they made a nice mosaic. Thanks to the organizers for a very enjoyable evening!
