Doing a series is one way of practicing a concept and working out design issues.  I had already done one caterpillar bracelet (see post) and thought I would try two more.  The next caterpillar that inspired me was the Polyphemus moth caterpillar.

I liked the accordion pattern with the spots and stripe down the middle of each segment. Here’s the final design.

The last in this particular series is a loose interpretation of the black swallowtail butterfly caterpillar.  It had a very bold graphic pattern that was fairly variable in the different pictures that I looked at.  Here’s a caterpillar from my garden.
