The forecast is for a beautiful weekend to get out and enjoy art and spring flowers!
The Nature Artists’ Guild is having their Spring Exhibit this weekend, April 8 & 9, 2017 from 10 am – 4 pm in the Cudahy Auditorium at the Morton Arboretum in Lisle, IL. There you will have the opportunity to see original art from around 50 artists, watch demonstrations, and participate in a raffle. Afterwards take a stroll and soak in the new buds and flowers springing to life in the landscaping around the buildings.
Friday night is the artists’ reception from 5 – 9 pm. Hope to see you there!
This weekend Carrie Carlson is also having a reception for the opening of her Master of Arts exhibit featuring her printmaking explorations over the past few years. I can’t wait to see everything up close!
I wish I had time to get down there… yard work is calling 😜
Those blue sprinkles are Scilla Siberica – Siberian Squill or Wood Squill.
Thanks, Ilex! Appreciate the id on the flower.
Sounds like a fun and busy time!
