It seemed that every minute was filled during the conference. After presentations each morning and afternoon, there would be opportunities to talk with friends, new and old, during meals and during the activities in the evening. Several of my friends surprised me by bringing jewelry they had bought from me to wear at various events-I was so touched! I didn’t get pictures of them all, but it was good to see my “babies” again.
We had an opportunity to work on a group project-three mandalas highlighting the diversity of the Appalachia, designed by the conference chair, Jennifer Landin. She had divided the mandalas up into sections, had reference material available, and colored pencils for all of us as well. It looked like an impossible task, but the group came together and we got it done! Prints of the completed mandalas were donated to the Asheville Museum of Science, which graciously hosted our reception. Enjoy!
Wish I could have been there.
I wish you could have been there too-hopefully next year!
Thank you Karen for your posts on our conference. I have indeed enjoyed the Hercules Beetle. I receive many complements, as well as so many at the conference; told them who to contact. Hope you receive many orders! Best, OC
Thanks, OC! You’ve been so sweet to promote my work by wearing your beetle. I’m so glad you’ve enjoyed wearing him!
