The orchid show at the Chicago Botanic Garden is one of my favorite places to go at this cold and gray time of year. Orchids are everywhere throughout the halls and greenhouses, lending bursts of color and pattern wherever they go. There was an Asian theme this year which I enjoyed. My friend, Suzanne, went with me and she actually sketched an orchid while I had fun sketching her and her surroundings. Enjoy!
