With all the rain and some warmer weather, my sketches are reflecting the additional color in the prairie. Flowers bloom so quickly and then are gone. When I head out, my thoughts are churning as I wonder how I can possibly capture everything that’s happening. Once I’m out there, though, there’s usually something that will cause me to focus and I stop to pay attention. Most of the time it’s a flower, but sometimes it’s an insect or frog, and I remember why I love them so. Enjoy!
You have been very busy, Karen, and all of the sketches are lovely!
Thanks, Carol!
Beautiful sketches! I love the bee and the bleeding heart.
Thanks, Clare! It was exciting to see a different bee than I normally do…so had to add it in!
Impressive collection of sketches. You’ve really captured a beautiful slice of spring. Thanks for sharing it all!
Thanks, Jean! I’m enjoying seeing all the sketches together. Gives me some perspective on the month.
Nice sketches, I really like your Redbud Trail sketch.
Thanks, Shawn! I love redbuds…
Just wonderful, Karen! Always hard to pick a fave. For some reason Prairie Violets are calling me. 😀 Thank you!
Violets are beautiful. They’re small and often overlooked in the prairie so I’m glad that I could spotlight them in my sketchbook.
Sweet!
