Which pastels are you using if I may ask?…. those tomatoes!!!! wow! And the male dasher too! they don’t look like pastels at all.. almost like an old oil painting 🙂
In the acrylic section, I’m using acrylic paints which can resemble oil sometimes. I do have a pastel section and I use a variety including Nupastel, Rembrandt and Sennelier.
lol! these are the acrylics!!! I am sorry I am scatter brained that way!! That explains the rich almost oil feel of the works 🙂
I love your art! You do get a nice “oil” feel out of your acrylics; mine just look like acrylics. I love the precision of your butterflies.
Thanks, Karen! That’s interesting that you would say that as I’ve never worked in oil. I tend to work in layers, similar to how I work in watercolor actually, except that I don’t have to worry about saving the white of the paper!
